The Christmas break has been fantastic. Lots of time spent with the kids exploring their new toys. Just a little bit of training here and there to keep the body ticking over and to keep the BGLs in check, especially with the added strain of all the festive meals. I had an encouraging 16km run on Christmas morning from home to the in-laws for the Christmas day celebrations. I've had a couple of good rides with friends including a ride out to Brookfield and another up to Mt Nebo. I've got two more months until I kick off my Cairns Ironman 70.3 training.

QTS Raby Bay Tri
Had a great race today at the Raby Bay round of the Queensland Tri Series. I controlled my BGLs well and raced hard, breaking my five year old half-olympic distance tri PB. That was only good enough for 12th in my age-group.... man there is some strong competition! Now I'll have a few quieter weeks of training. I'm looking forward to kicking off my training program at the start of March.
